"Honey I Shrunk the Kids" is a series of two 40x50 inch paintings and nine small preparatory studies. The series explores the experience of sleep paralysis, which is a temporary, and often unexplained, phenomenon that happens during the early stages of sleep.

"Everything I Learned In a Super-8" is a series of three paintings exploring the relationship that one has with traveling alone. Isolated figures in cheap hotel settings represent the weary traveler stopping in an anonymous town for the night.
